Portrait of Will Sandy FLI FRSA

Will is a landscape architect and environmentally focused designer leading a collaborative multi-disciplinary studio with a landscape architecture focus. He bridges the gap between clients, local government, and community through careful stakeholder engagement.

Will works across various sites, scales and styles, from furniture design and small-scale architectural projects, to larger strategies and masterplanning. In each project he challenges the status quo, proving how good design can drive behaviour change to address the climate emergency.

Will tailors every project to client needs, assembling unique collectives of forward-thinking specialists who bring fresh perspectives. The studio influences positive social, economic and environmental outcomes in places, spaces and destinations.

We like to have fun, but we are realists too. Our team combines thought leaders and technical experts to support design ambition. Every project – large or small – demands creativity not just in design, but in meeting requirements, overcoming constraints, and managing stakeholders within time and budget to achieve quality outcomes. Beyond design, we develop business cases, community ownership and stewardship models for the day-to-day running and long-term success of each project.

Will regularly writes for industry publications and teaches architecture, landscape and urban design. He is a Fellow of the Landscape Institute and Royal Society of Arts.
